Gigapan: Waipuna Lanai
Snapshot: Kaimana Beach
Description: Although difficult to see, this is the popular but limited parking lot for Kaimana Beach. Beautiful and quiet beach with mostly locals. Better to not bring the car ;-).

In fact, this is a tour offered by "Atlantis" at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. This cruise ship takes the passengers to a submarine further out int he ocean from which you can observe sharks, manta rays, and turtles as well as the whole cast from "Finding Nemo" for around 110 dollars. I did it and it was fantastic. I'm absolutely recommending it.

This panorama was taken hand-held with a SX110 camera, which can be a *great* camera, but for hand-held panoramas *and* 360-degrees, the Leica D-Lux 3 performs best.

He is a football coach and Tamara is going into the medical field... I just happened upon them as they were waiting for friends (http://www.gigapan.org/gigapans/29457/snapshots/90012/) ... she was really in to having this done, but he was sort of suspicious as you can perhaps, tell from his expression; however, when they have many grandchildren, looking back on this GigaPan will provide him with some great memories :)

Thanks for the comment Jimmy. My Leica D-Lux 3, when set at f/8 and 1/200 or 1/250 sec rarely gives me a bad image. I switced back to the Leica because I can't come close (hand-held) to what it can do with my camera of choice for the robot GigaPan, the SX110. Next time you are in Houston, lets make contact and take some GigaPans ... have a class and share some ideas. David

Gigapan: Presidents Heads (and the Beatles)
Snapshot: heads
Description: Do they get painted or are they left in the color of their material? I think these heads will look a little less seirous of they get painted... and less canonical. They may even look somewhat comical.

I think it belongs to a homeless guys who lived there for 10 years. He has just been arrested for sexual assault and this junk has been removed by Council. http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2009/11/18/2746250.htm
