Reported by: Amber Lee (ksby, channel 6 tv, news)

An unusual sighting had people on the South Coast talking Tuesday. A black bear was spotted at the Coal Oil Point Reserve in Goleta at about 8:00 a.m. Tuesday. A biologist with the U.S. Geological Survey happened to snap some photos of the bear's paw prints on the beach. He says in one photo, the bear tracks lead out of the ocean, where the bear took a dip before it was disturbed. The biologist also took a photo where he put his driver's license next to the paw prints for scale. The bear was last seen walking toward nearby dunes."
