Thunder Over Louisville is an annual kickoff event to the Kentucky Derby Festival in Louisville, Kentucky. Nearly a million people come to the banks of the Ohio River for an all day celebration which includes an airshow and an evening fireworks display.

This panorama was taken early in the afternoon before the fireworks show from atop the Aegon Center, the tallest building in the state. Zoom into the streets throughout Downtown Louisville to see the crowd heading for the waterfront.
