Texas Medical Center: Bronze Nude in a Calm Environment - a 360 Panorama

Walking around the Texas Medical Center provides lots of surprises as well as nice moments when first meeting people on a common ground. Both happened today: the un-named statue and then meeting a very nice woman from Venezuela here in Houston doing her Residency. There are many panoramas as well as wonderful people to be found in the Texas Medical Center, Hermann Park and Rice University and today, I found both.

This hand-held panorama was taken with a Nikon D70, using a 50mm f/1.8 Nikkor lens. The sunlight was nil, but all-in-all, I am very pleased with this effort, especially not knowing at the time that the exposure was right-on the button.

You're right about the exposure - excellent. This shot intrigues me - as all good photos are suppose to do, I suppose - because I want to see more. IMO it's a real pity that you are not allowed to use a tripod here or that you don't have a stitcher that can cope with multi-row image sets that are not taken with the gigapan imager.

Even though I have been fortunate in having good exposure with the D70, I am now considering buying the new Nikon 3000 when it comes out in a few months. It has a larger LCD than the D70 and it will minimize the exposure setting difficulty I now have with the D70 in poor light. It is very affordable and I already have good glass. Using the D70 or the D3000, I could never get anything close to this GigaPan of Hong Kong taken by Flavivirus, http://www.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=27965, although this Bronze Nude GigaPan, I used the very same lens that Flavivirus used in his night time excellent GigaPan of the Hong Kong skyline.
