The Dariush Grand Hotel (Persian: هتل بزرگ داریوش) is a 168-room, $125 million, luxury five star hotel located on the eastern part of Kish Island in the Persian Gulf.
Dariush Grand Hotel was built as a look like Persepolis, a symbol of the glory and splendor of the ancient Persian (Iranian) civilization and the Persian Empire. The hotel was designed and developed by Iranian entrepreneur Hossein Sabet, who also owns and manages several tourist attractions and hotels in the Canary Islands.

Wow! What an amazing place! How did you get to take a gigapan there? Did you simply ask? It is surprising how often that works. Posted by Kilgore661 |

I just checked out their web site to see how much it cost to stay their for the next six months because all the ash trays are full in my house. Amazing! All that money spent on the building and the web site is rubbish. You're forced to look at one of those horrible "We know we should have used a sphere but spheres are a bit complicated so we used a box" distorted "virtual tour" things that make be feel nauseous when I look at one. AND the on-line reservation system doesn't work. I'm off to the Sheraton! :-) Posted by Kilgore661 |

Kilgore, I simply went there at about 6 A.M, started taking a gigapan, and no one said anything! why should they? You are right, some of their systems are not very good. For example, I should pay for the Internet connection in this 5* hotel, and the connection was not very good. But the food was great ;) Posted by payam195r |

Ah, I didn't realise you were a guest - so they knew who you were. If I turned up at the local Hilton and started taking photos with a camera on a tripod and a gigapan imager, there would certainly be questions asked. Poor Texas_Photo can't even set up his kit in a public space in Houston without getting hassled by security guards. 9/11 is the problem. Posted by Kilgore661 |
