How well does the A650 work for you with your Gigapan? Does it fit in the stock bracket? I am looking for a new gigapan cam and the A650 seemed a good compromise between resolution and panorama speed. BTW, nice coastal shots! I miss living in California! Posted by jasonc |

the A650 works well although i had to mod the stock mounting. The A640 just fit and the 6x zoom on the 650 caused it to bump the trigger servo. I drilled a new hole just back from the camera mount slot and then cut off a portion of the support bracket so the camera would fit. Seems to work fine though. One thing I have noticed with the 650 is that on wide angle (don't have a prob with gigapan) straight lines are warped more than i expected. Posted by roach_wade |
