The layout of this image is a distinct peculiarity of making a GigaPan image. The field of view is about 180 degrees. Koko Crater and Koko Head, at the right, are actually in back of the viewer when facing Waikiki. The distortion is very deceptive to the uninitiated.:^) I wish the proper perspective could be acurately presented when viewing such an image. That's why I broke my panorama, taken from the same spot at the top of Diamond Head, into two images. http://share.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=1916 http://share.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=1917 Posted by Apapane |
