This was a sort of a test as I used the autofocus feature to see if I got clearer shots than with the manual focus. Alligator Lake is in rural Osceola County, Florida to the Southeast of the Orlando metro area. a pretty Saturday morning by the lake.

It is a close call. I like that the foreground offers a higher degree of detail, but some of the mid point areas (like the area to the center left, the dock area behind the palm tree) are too fuzzy. All in all, I think if I am shooting an area where the nearest object is a good distance away (8 meters or more) except for the ground I will use the AF. I think my eyes or my judgment just aren't quite as good as the camera's :-) Posted by wndrin |
