A 360 of the crowd at the Perth round of the 2008 Red Bull Air Race series. I didn't actually mean to take a 360 but wasn't really paying attention to what I was pressing on the gigapan and I gave up trying to erase the half and quarter people, way too much movement. I also didn't put much fore-thought into the whole day, I just sat down where I could find a spot and took a few gigapan's. Maybe next year i will endeavour to get a higher vantage point. |

This Gigapan was taken while on holiday in Austria.
The old town of Salzburg is worth a visit and also the climb up to the castle is amazing. Even if the climb looks steep and the entrance fee to the castle is rather high, have a look at it, it is well worth it. The chopped off hands are from a guy who was so fascinated by the gigapan system that he wanted to get on the picture. In the end it was only his hands that made it... |

The Silverwater Ziggural is at the south-western end of Sydney Olympic Park and provides an excellent view of surrounding areas.
It is an innovative method of disposing of large amounts of "unsuitable engineering fill" onsite rather than breaching the agreed position during the remediation of Homebush Bay of "no waste offsite". The artificial hill is stabilised by gabion walls and was originally known as a Millenium Marker. Due to changing light conditions and the desire to ensure the interpretive signs were readable, this gigapan was taking with autofocus and autoexposure. |
