226042x21693px image will make you surprised of the details and the hiden places that could be seen. This is I thing the widest view of the town Kocani where the alomost 70% of the town is visible.
This is the hand made panorama. I thought it will never complite the result I got. Before last step corrections the pano was between 6-7Gpx, but in order to get the nice composition and quality it was cropped in Photoshop to 5Gpx. At the begining I almost reached the Photoshop limit of 300.000 px. Amazing experiance and result if you exclude the little visible mistakes. And the 30Gb file was uploading for ages. This is a big gigapan I shot on Saturday evening. It's a huge Gigapan and took 16 hours to stitch. 47 images wide X 23 images tall totaling 1081 images.
I missed some of the balloons on the first pass so I backed the unit up and reshot a section. The lighter background in the sky was caused when I readjusted the exposure during shooting. The sun was setting fast and light was fading. EDS Credit Union Plano Balloon Festival - Plano, Texas - September 19 - 21, 2008 http://www.planoballoonfest.org/fest-facts.html Enjoy the "Lofty Visions" as 70 magnificent, colorful, hot air balloons fill the skies over Plano Friday at 6:00pm, Saturday at 7:00am and 6:00pm, and Sunday at 7:00am and 6:00pm (weather permitting). Fun for all ages, are the Special Shapes that attend the festival. This year, the special shapes include: High Jack, Miss Daisy, Pandy the Panda, Oggy the Dragon, and Woodrow C. Greenleaf. |

First shot i've taken that I feel was worth the extra time to photoshop and make perfect, including everything from the Mercedes Benz shoot to the cars stopped in traffic on the West Side Highway. Also what I think is the first shot taken at this resolution of the new Highline Park that's just opened. Definitely the most time i've ever spent working on a single picture...pretty good view from here. Printing as big as I can as well. enjoy! |

This Gigapan was taken at an elevation of 200ft above sea level, from the Twin Lights Lighthouse in Highlands, New Jersey. The nearby Mt. Mitchell Scenic Overlook is at an elevation of 266 ft and is the highest place on the eastern seaboard, between southern Maine and the Yucatan in Mexico!
Sandy Hook is the seven mile sand peninsula in the foreground that jutes out into Raritan Bay south of New York. A unit of the Gateway National Recreation Area and part of the National Parks of New York Harbor, it also includes Fort Hancock, a disused miltary base. Check out the snapshots and you can see the Statue of Liberty over 20 miles away, the Verrazano Narrows Bridge between Staten Island and Brooklyn, the Empire State Building in Manhattan and the Parachute Ride and the Wonder Wheel on Cooney Island! This Gigapan was taken using a Nikon D300 with a Tokina 80-400mm at 400mm (600mm 35mm equivalent). For more Gigapans of Sandy Hook see http://gigapan.org/gigapans/most_popular/?q=brianlr+sandy+hook |

Another view of the beautiful Tamara can be seen here: http://www.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=29457 Tamara, a beautiful woman form the State of Texas and her fiance, a footbal coach, pose in a panorama taken in Houston's Hermann Park by the reflection pool with a obelisk at one end and Sam Houston at the other. A great time was had by all and after we parted, they met with friends and continued having additional photos taken, which we may see again in an upcoming GigaPan. A view in Google Earth may be considered extraordinary. |

I'm working on strategies to capture action in a GigaPan. I took a grid of photos with a tripod-mounted Nikon D3, then went back and shot action at various points along the track. Then I patched these action shots into the scene. I couldn't resist putting several rides together -- in real life there'd only be one car on the track at a time. There are two rides in this image: the Spongebob Squarepants Rock Bottom Plunge in the foreground and the Pepsi Orange Streak in the background.
Nikon D3 at 1600 ISO, 1/400 second at f/8. The Mall of America is the largest indoor shopping mall in the United States (there's a bigger one in Canada). Nickelodeon Universe is the amusement park at its center. |

This panorama of the Chicago skyline was taken from Grant Park in front of the Buckingham Fountain on the afternoon of September 30, 2009. Fourteen portrait-mode images were stitched together.
from Wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buckingham_Fountain The fountain is considered to be Chicago's front door, since it resides from Grant Park, the city's front yard. The fountain, located at Columbus Drive and Congress Parkway, was designed with sculptures by Jacques Lambert. It was donated to the city by Kate Buckingham in memory of her brother, Clarence Buckingham. The fountain itself represents Lake Michigan, while each sea horse symbolizes a state bordering the lake. The statues were created by the French sculptor Marcel F. Loyau. The design of the fountain was based on the Bassin de Latome and modeled after Latona Fountain at Versailles. The fountain used to be known as the Clarence Buckingham Memorial Fountain. Kate Buckingham also established the Buckingham Fountain Endowment Fund with an initial investment of $300,000 to pay for maintenance on the fountain. Buckingham Fountain was dedicated on August 26, 1927. Note: an earlier GigaPan, http://www.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=30905 , did not include the panoramic view of Pasadena and the Houston Ship Channelarea as does this panorama.
Taken from the 24th floor of Hilton Americas Hotel: http://tinyurl.com/2og9ru An stunning view of Houston from Galena Park and the Houston Ship Channel area westward to the heart of the downtown area, especially so since there are two pillars not shown in this panorama, but yet the view can almost be considered seamless except that the railing shows where there should be a pillar(s). The GigaPan Stitcher comes though with flying colors on this one. The view, taken from the 24th floor and was breathtaking as I took it using my trusty Nikon D70 (soon to be retired) and a Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 lens. There is no Photoshop on this panorama, only the GigaPan Stitcher, and the collection of photos were taken hand-held. |
