Mount Robson, the highest mountain in the Canadian Rockies is on the left. The color of Kinney Lake is due to alluvial rock particles from the glaciers in the surrounding mountains.

Horseshoe Park as viewed from Rainbow Curve in Rocky Mountain National Park. Beautiful examples of meandering river features are present along the course of the Fall River. The alluvial fan that resulted from the Lawn Lake flood is also visible left of the center of the image. |
