This is a big gigapan I shot on Saturday evening. It's a huge Gigapan and took 16 hours to stitch. 47 images wide X 23 images tall totaling 1081 images.
I missed some of the balloons on the first pass so I backed the unit up and reshot a section. The lighter background in the sky was caused when I readjusted the exposure during shooting. The sun was setting fast and light was fading. The view inside a local English Pub the Trinity Arms in London, notice the wide variety of drinks, the photographs and the letters on the left, It's a place where there is a real sense of community and is one of the few pubs frequented by local people, such as the much respected local lawyer Phil Cremin. It was built in the 1850s. |

Addison Oktoberfest 2008 - September 18 - 21, 2008
I shot this yesterday evening on the first day of Addison's Octoberfest. It was still a little early so not many people are around. The guy in the suit with all the medals showed up after I shot the GigaPan so I backed the robot up and reshot him. My friend Joe has a new GigaPan also and we set his up and shot as well. You can see his gigapan unit on the far left. This GigaPan is 7 images high and 63 images wide, 441 total images. Tomorrow I shoot a Balloon Festival, so check back in a few days. The Isar provides the power supply for Munich, it is a recreation area for Munich, it invites for walks, hikes, inline skating, bicycle riding…There is always something to do along the Isar. The little islands and the pebble banks shift and change each year – but the Isar remains the same – the vital artery of Munich.

My second piece completed for my mixed media photography/poetry project. I was originally thinking of using portions of Google Maps and Streetview as media but decided that I liked this layout already and stuck with it. The poem is a standard, 14-line Elizabethan sonnet and is written in SMS. Surprisingly enough, I was preoccupied with finishing the piece and did not really have time to enjoy the bars themselves.... |

This may be the sweetest brewpub in all the land. Located in beautiful Portland, Oregon, the building is completely green and sustainably renovated, and the brew is ORGANIC...and mighty tasty. Cool place. I'm going to go back and get a better shot...will be a good excuse for another visit! |
