This is a gigapan I took from the Rankin Bridge of Braddock, PA. It was taken right before the torrential downpour that flooded Millvalle and reportedly produced a tornado that touched down in downtown Pittsburgh. The before-the-rain-haze might not make such a good photo, huh?

This is the main room of the Woodland Hills School District's all-student and faculty art show for the 2007-2008 school year.
For the past three years it has been held at the former 1st Presbyterian Church in Braddock PA. The Woodland Hills Academic Foundation sponsors and organizes the exhibit, which includes student concerts and an alumni cabaret benefit performance. For more information about the Woodland Hills Academic Foundation see http://www.whaf.info. |

GigaPan by Mary from Computing Workshop, taken on Franklin Avenue in Braddock, PA.
Franklin Avenue is up on a hill- we were looking for views of downtown Braddock. Not quite visible in the center of the pano(unfortunately- this is what drew us to the spot) is an old bridge, which goes over railroad tracks between Franklin Street and downtown. Jerry, who lives on the street, talked to us about work he had done on his house, about what he would like to see done with an empty house (right side of the pano), and about gardening. He sent us off with forsythia he had rooted and pussy willow branches. Thanks, Jerry! |

This is a view of one of the more desolate stretches of Braddock Avenue. It kinda makes the case against wholesale demolition. The price of demolition is usually more than enough to stabilize a building. What do you think? |

My friends have a fantastic view of the monongahela river, Homestead and Braddock. On the 4th of July you can see fireworks from about ten different communities from here. |
