This is my first GigaPan with my new Canon Powershot SX110 IS. IT is 12 images tall and 40 images wide for a total of 480 images.
The stitching software had problems with the Fountain Place building near the center of the image. This building has only a few straight angles.

spacer The Cambie Street Bridge is a six-lane bi-symmetric precast varying depth post tension box girder bridge spanning False Creek in Vancouver, British Columbia. The Cambie bridge is the easternmost of False Creek's fixed crossings; the Burrard and Granville bridges are a little more than a kilometer to the west, and the new Canada Line SkyTrain tunnel is built just west of the Cambie bridge.

spacer View from the south side of the False Creek Waterfront, at the end of Moberly Road near the Stamps Landing cul-de-sac.

False Creek is a short inlet in the heart of Vancouver. It separates downtown from the rest of the city. It was named by George Henry Richards during his Hydrographic survey of 1856-63. False Creek is spanned by the Granville Street and Cambie Street bridges. It is one of the four major bodies of water bordering Vancouver along with English Bay, Burrard Inlet and the Fraser River.

Yaletown is an area of Downtown Vancouver approximately bordered by False Creek, Robson, and Homer Streets. The marinas, parks, high rise apartment blocks, and converted heritage buildings constitute one of the most significant urban regeneration projects in North America.

spacer After about 3-4 days of wrestling with my computer, I finally got an hdr panorama i'm really happy with. Bracketed +/- 2.0, tone mapped as hdrs in photomatix, stiched using autopano giga, corrected and exported in photoshop. A lot of work, but I really like the result, and the fact that this would be 3.5 x 13 ft long at 250 dpi. More to come!

spacer The culmination of several successful HDR shots and numerous failed night attempts (including one at this same location that was cancelled due to automatic sprinklers), I finally got a (near) gigapixel, HDR, night shot i'm happy with. I'd be lying if I said this wasn't a lot of work both during the shoot and in post-processing. I may try to retake this one for a slightly better sky sometime soon, and will definitely start photographing more shots with this technique. Printing 44" x 60"--something I've only been able to realistically do recently. Seeing these massive and extremely high-res is really what's been making me want to take a lot more of them very soon and has even made me reconsider how I frame a lot of my shots from now on.

I also believe this may be the highest-resolution nightime HDR image on the Gigapan site and even--dare I say it-- in existence (can anyone verify this other than Guiness?). In any case, enjoy!
