Viewed through the Bandstand, the Abbey is at the centre of Hexham's historic core. The Abbey Grounds are a tranquil haven of a wide range of trees, while Beaumont Street (seen centre right) has the Queen's Hall Arts Centre, library and theatre as its centrepiece. The Market Place is hidden beyond the Abbey. |

St. Fidelis church, better known as the Cathedral of the Plains, is located in Victoria, Kansas. It is one of a number of large Catholic churches erected by the Volga Germans who emigrated to the area around Hays, Kansas in the late Eighteenth and early Nineteenth centuries.
Once again I've got vignetting and missed stitches because of insufficient overlap. This image was also challenging to capture because I had to incline the robot in order to capture the top of the steeple, thus the poor leveling of the left side of the image, for instance. |

360 of the interior of St James Church, Poole.
Our first ever attempt at using Gigapan was in the church-yard of St James Church (see here: http://share.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=19748) - the church wardens were so impressed that they invited us back to shoot one inside of the impressive interior. Messed up a little bit on the join and forgot it doesn't overlap on a 360, so isn't quite symmetrical, but I will try and fix this soon and also hopefully fix the stitching errors in the ceiling. Gothic St Lorenz-Kirche (St. Lorenz church, St. Lorenz), one of the most important buildings in Nuremberg. The main body was built around 1270-1350. The doorway sculptures depict the theme of redemption, from Adam and Eve through the Last Judgment.

Muenster's Prinzipalmarkt, St Lambert’s Church,
St. Lamberti – this hall church built between 1375 and 1450 owes its renown to the gruesome history surrounding the three cages suspended from the steeple of the church. In the mid 16th century they housed the bodies of the three leaders of the Anabaptist sect. Taken while on an overnight film shoot in this beautiful cathedral. I must admit, I'm quite perturbed / disappointed that the damn beta imager appears to have screwed this picture up. I triple checked my camera and imager settings, batteries were fresh, and yet, it appears the imager couldn't stay still. Instead it looks like it continued to move in a downward motion during the images. Not cool |
