Test post of large pano greater than 60,000 pixels wide
No post-processing (sharpening, cropping, color boost, etc) due to the fact that I can't even open the file (Too many pixels wide.) Working with AutoPano Pro. I thought I had covered all of the ground when shooting, but for some reason the software is having some problems picking up some of the shots. Anyone know how to defeat this? I can't open this in Photoshop and add some detail from another photo. I have several more from this day that I am still processing, and will upload later. |

The top of Gad Cliff offers one of the most spectacular views along the Dorset and East Devon coast World Heritage Site (the Jurassic Coast). Here the rocks have been folded into a huge ‘S’ shaped kink as the result of earth movements about 15 million years ago. In the foreground, Kimmeridge Clay together with Portland and Purbeck strata, lie in the southern side of the fold and are dipping steeply to the north. In the distance, the same rocks are level as they are located away from the fold. This huge structure, known as the Purbeck Monocline, runs east to west across Purbeck, dominating the landscape.

Sutro Baths area 4 days later than my previous. I've included the other part of the area that wasn't in my previous panorama. I also sharpened the pictures so you can see more details.
I found numerous activities taking place, from fishing, surfing, jet skiing, climbing, animal/bird watching to hiking. Interestingly there's a person sitting by a seal that had clearly died and was bloated, thus decomposing and smelling. To compare the area 4 days previous see http://gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=27746 |

The cape Kamenjak is Maritime Park in Istria/Croatia which has 30 km long cost, incredible beaches, bays and hidden places which can be explored. When visiting Cape Kamenjak, don't miss its southernmost tip where a great attraction is jumping into the sea from high cliff with torches.
This is a 360° panorama best viewed with Google Earth or http://www.360cities.net/image/istria-cliffs-at-cape-kamenjak |

180+ degree panorama along 12 Road in southern Rooks County, Kansas. The distant cliff formed by the cutbank of a small stream exposes the rarely seen contact between the Fort Hays and Smoky Hill members of the Upper Cretaceous Niobrara Chalk. The Fort Hays member is characterized by thick bioturbated chalk beds whereas the overlying Smoky Hill chalk is thinly bedded and rarely exposed in extensive outcrops. |

The cliff face consists of granitic gneisses cut by basaltic dikes. It is elevated above the surrounding area by a fault near the edge of the Adirondack Mountains. |

Sutro Baths, the newly renovated Cliff House and Seal Rock (yes, there are seals on the rocks) in San Francisco on a very windy day.
Same area, different perspective: http://gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=27665 View from the other side of the mountain: http://gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=27659 Here's a link to what Sutro Baths used to look like. http://www.alamedainfo.com/postcards_of_san_francisco_3.htm Notice the buildings, the trams, the statues, etc. There used to be a place where there were roller coasters, other rides, and arcades at Playland. It was quite an exciting area. Today you see...well, what you see in my pictures. |

I'm not certain of the name of this particular escarpment, but i may be able to figure it out after I've geocoded it. |

One of two pans of Horseshoe Bend, a lovely incised meander near Page, Arizona (just east of Glen Canyon Dam).
Erosion by the Colorado River cut down through the layers of sedimentary rock and created the deep gorge (approx. 1000 feet deep here). [We also took another pan from the same point (http://gigapan.org/gigapans/33155/) with a different camera.] |

Yellowstone's many rivers are busily at work cutting down through post-caldera rhyolites throughout the park. Here the Firehole River (downstream from the famous hydrothermal areas) has cut a deep gorge in obsidian-rich rhyolites. |
