The Gates Center is to be the new home of CMU's Computer Science Department. We have a great view in the CREATE lab of the building going up - it's hard to believe now that only four months or so have passed since the first steel beams went up.
Here are some other Gigapans of the Gates Center, going from most recent to oldest: http://www.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=8929 http://www.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=8048 http://www.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=7006 http://www.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=4826 http://www.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=2006 http://www.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=199 |

Mark Stehlik is Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Education, Computer Science Department, Carnegie Mellon University. Most CMU CS undergrads get to know Mark (and his office).
Photography notes: this is version 3, autofocus on (to get the nearby books), stitched at full size. |

Not much else to say... The Newell Simon Atrium at Carnegie Mellon University on a sunny, beautiful day in October. |

This September 14, 2009 panorama captures the just completed Gates-Hillman Complex, Newell-Simon Hall, and Wean Hall. The school of computer science used to inhabit Wean, but thanks to the donations of Gates, Hillman, and other donors, they have shiny new digs. The sixth floor balcony shows many of the SCS students in a group shot to thank all those who made the buildings possible. |

Our newly refurbished classroom in Hamburg Hall.
Four large flat panel monitors, 2 dropdown screens, dual DLP projectors, in-desk microphones. Copious natural light. Quite a comfortable classroom. |

Taken on the Carnegie Mellon University Campus. I left autofocus on in order to capture the spines of the books (and the desiccated pumpkin pie!) This version contains some black lines between the photos. I will probably attempt a restitch soon. |
