This otherwise spectacular view is unfortunately spoiled by either motion of the camera, or possibly the image stabilization in the camera. I will experiment, unfortunately this shooting location is no longer available.

Golkonda FortGolkonda (or Golconda) Telugu గోల్కొండ , a ruined city of south-central India and capital of ancient Kingdom of Golkonda (c. 1364–1512)., is situated west of Hyderabad.
The most important builder of Golkonda was Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah Wali, the fourth Qutb king. Ibrahim was following in the spirit of his ancestors, the Qutub Shahi kings, a great family of builders who had ruled the kingdom of Golkonda from 1512. Their first capital, the fortress citadel of Golkonda, was rebuilt for defense from invading Mughals from the north. They laid out Golkonda's splendid monuments, now in ruins, and designed a perfect acoustical system by which a hand clap sounded at the fort's main gates, the grand portico, was heard at the top of the citadel, situated on a 300-foot (91 m)-high granite hill. This is one of the fascinating features of the fort. ************************************************ Please contact Shashi Mettu at + 00-91-98495-30995 for Prints / Enlargements and Busssiness enquiries |

This fantasy map was created specially for Gigapan. I noticed that my previous uploads were not really panoramas, so I decided to construct one for Gigapan using a previously made map. It was created by taking a 9,000 x 6,000 pixel version of "105 & 110 Quilt" and increasing the width by 3 times to 27,000 pixels. I would have made it larger, but my computer cannot handle images larger than 30,000 pixels. The map contains modified aerial photography of the area around the 105 & 110 interchange in Los Angeles and is apart of my "Los Angeles Interchanges Series," which are a series of maps featuring one geography (Los Angeles), one projection type (Diamond Quilt Projection), and one aspect of the built environment (highway interchanges). View the original map "105 & 110 Quilt" on my website: http://www.nikolasschiller.com/blog/index.php/archives/2007/08/19/1132/ View the rest of the "Los Angeles Interchanges Series" http://www.nikolasschiller.com/blog/index.php/archives/category/location/california/los-angeles/interchanges/ View similar Diamond Quilt Projection Maps: http://www.nikolasschiller.com/blog/index.php/archives/category/renderings/quilt/diamond/ |
