A photo for the virtual Easter egg hunt taken in the new park behind my house. The rocks and tree branches are part of the park's landscaping. Some construction in still in progress where the orange webbed fences are located. Approximately 30 eggs are hidden in the photo. The winds picked up while taking this panorama and blew some of the eggs out of their places. As the wind blew the eggs down, I ran through the scene staying just ahead of the robot and out of view of the camera putting the eggs back in their places. A photo for the virtual Easter egg hunt taken in the new park behind my house. This park is for bicycle riders to challenge their technical skills. Everything inside the fence is fair game! Approximately 40 eggs are hidden in the photo. The most interesting part of taking this photo was hiding the eggs. As I placed each egg, I had to look from the egg's point of view to ensure a clean line of sight back to the camera, otherwise the egg would not be visible in the photo. Hidden in this gigapan are two rabbits, a duck, 20 eggs, and a live parrot. Special thanks go to some friends of mine for allowing me to use their greenhouse as the backdrop for this egg hunt. Members of the press may freely embed and use this image in their publications. |

A late-night panorama of my living room. Several of the eggs have camouflage paint jobs. There's one such egg hidden in the potted plant. Approximately 20-30 plastic eggs are hidden in the photo. Of course, the biggest question with this panorama was did I want to invite the internet into my living room? Members of the press may freely embed and use this image in their publications. |

This is the world's largest pysanka, (Easter Egg). It was erected to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the RCMP.
Read about the full story here: http://www.vegrevillechamber.com/pysankastory.htm While I was taking the shots, the egg was rotating slightly in the breeze hence the stitching irregularities on the left side... |

Here is the Governor Nelson A. Rockefeller Empire State Plaza in New York's capital which is Albany. Usually this is a pretty busy place, but everything is quiet this day after Christmas. Around 14,000 employees work in the plaza buildings. The New York State Museum and the Egg attract many tourists to the area. Have fun checking out some really interesting architecture. This image was stitched from a group of 60 hand-held shots using Autopano Pro. |

This panorama of the Empire State Plaza, which is also known as the South Mall, was taken the day after Christmas. Notice the State Christmas Tree on the left. The mall has a lot of open space surrounded by towering skyscrapers and unusually-shaped buildings. I have heard that it is the most recognizable of State Capitals. I suspect that the Egg earned it this reputation. There weren't many people here on December 26, but browse around to see some interesting architecture and art. |
