This is my favorite place to eat or just hang out. I shot these images with a Canon G10 on a Gigapan Beta. Zoomed to 30.5 mm (140 mm equiv.) it took 48 photos in each of 3 rows to get around the 360 degrees. With 8 seconds at f/8 and ISO 100 plus the waiting time while the camera reduced noise I had to set the GigaPan to wait 24 seconds before moving to the next. Therefore you can see me waiting at the end of the bar, actually twice on both ends of the panorama... |

This was our Basecamp at the 24h Race in Le Mans 2009. That shot was the Test shot for the big Paddock Area Panorama i did the next night during the race. It took some trials to get the right settings - finally i used the self timer of the cam and the picture delay on the Giga Pan to avoid blurring. But some pictures are still blurred.. cant explain that.. any idea? |

This is the Paddock area of the 24h Le Mans Race 2009. I shot the images at 3 a.m. at night. It took about 90minutes due to using the self timer of the cam, a 2sec. exposure time and a 10 sec. Giga Pan delay to prevent the pictures from blurring. I don´t no why.. but in some pix is blurring..? But stitching worked fine! 200 Pix in total! |
