Taken over the course of an hour, this is a view of the fields of northwest Ellis County, Kansas in late autumn. I caught an individual shot with an eight point buck just before I set this one up. Don't know if he's hiding in here, but there's certainly lots to find.
This is my first large landscape shot with the Canon SX10 IS at the full 20x zoom. There's a small hole where the camera missed a photo - otherwise I'm very pleased. |

You are looking at a photo of Kelowna British Columbia in April of 2009 made with a digital slr on a tripod, with ten frames composed using a 50mm lens and the camera vertical. The camera records 8mp images, and the 50mm lens angle of view in vertical alignment allowed 15 degree intervals between captures. I have several different versions of the same image, this one was the widest so I have reposted it in lieu of the earlier ones.
The view is from the south-west to north-west, looking from Okanagan Mountain Park on the left, to Lake Country on the right. Thanks for looking and feel free to take snapshots. http://www.kelowna.ca/cm/site3.aspx |

An eruption of Mount Batur in the 60ies wiped out this whole area. Slowly, life creeps in again, and road contruction is again underway. |

Potters Fields is a small public park adjacent to Tower Bridge and the River Thames. It is used for various activities through the year. In November 2008 a giant rugby ball pavilion was temporarily installed to promote the next Rugby World Cup held in New Zealand in 2011 |

First panorama taken using the beta Gigapan mount - not levelled tripod correctly hence slight angle to images! |

Almost perfect lighting until the sun began to set behind a cloud out on the western horizon. Oh well... |

The Tapas Ecolodge overlooks rice fields and settlements a few miles from the town of Sapa, located in Vietnam's Hoang Lien Mountains, close to the China border. |

Perhaps as representative a view of western Kansas as I have yet taken... |
