An evening view showing most all of Oslo - the captial of Norway. The surrounding forests called "marka" are set in orange and yellow fall colors and the waterfront and the Oslo fjord is glimmering in the setting sun. This panorama was shot from the roof of Voksenaasen Hotel and is about two thirds complete due to power failure in the GigaPan unit. I hope to reshoot it before the fall colors fade. The pano was shot on October 17 2008 with a G9 with a 1,5x teleconverter in Raw, using a GigaPan beta 2 unit, totalling about 70 images. It was stitched in PTGui PRO. The image may not be used outside of gigapan.org without prior written agreement with me. |

Canon G9 with CHDK firmware enhancement to allow for 32 second shutter speed along with dark field subtraction. 200 mm focused at infinity / hyperfocal, 32 seconds, ISO 80. Stitched in Ptgui 8.0.2. Reduced -0.34 stops in Ptgui and then reduced brightness in CS3. |

This is the Downing Centre, a major court building in Sydney. It was formerly known as the Mark Foy's department store.
You will see a stitcher error on the left, likely to be due to clouds moving across the sky toward the right during the shooting. I wasn't able to rectify this in the Gigapan stitcher, even the latest version. |
