Chicago’s Humboldt Park, spanning 207 acres is one of Chicago’s oldest and most popular parks. The park’s development began in the 1870s, but this rose garden, added by landscape architect Jens Jensen, wasn’t created until nearly 45 years later. Humboldt Park was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.
