This is a 360 degree gigapan taken in the gardens of castle Trauttmansdorf 10 minutes from the city of Meran in South Tirol. In the old castle is now a museum on the history of Tourism in the region of South Tirol. It is a very interesting museum, with lots of old items from the hotel and tourism industry. The garden in also well worth a visit, though next time I will go there in spring when evrything is in bloom. The areay around Meran is full of apple plantations. I had to use a railing to put my gigapan on, as I went on a several day trip to northern Italy without my tripod. |

A view of the Japanese Gardens at the Missouri Botanical Gardens on June 14, 2009. This was the day before the Gardens celebrated its 150th anniversary (http://www.mobot.org/150/anniversary/default.asp). The shot was composed by Gayle Hein and stitched and uploaded by Rich Forshee. |

It is easy to get drawn into this garden. There are several distinct areas that hold their own as distinct gardens. As you stand admiring one area of the garden, another area catches your eye and draws you in. All together these mini gardens make up this enchanting scene. These 22 tripod held frames stitched with Autopano Pro, make this panorama of a beautiful garden. |

The Spoonbridge and Cherry sculpture has become something of a Minneapolis icon. On a nice day it's a magnet for photographers, sketchers, wedding parties and tourists.

The marvelous glass work of Dale Chihuly has been on display at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix since last November. I have taken four GigaPans of some of the pieces before this temporary installation goes back on the road at the end of May. :-( "Red Reeds" and "Black Saguaros" are in the background on the left.
See if you can find the dove and a flying bumble-bee. Also look for this GigaPanner's reflections in some of the floats. (I am wearing a floppy hat.) "Float Boat" with "Red Reeds" and "Black Saguaros" http://gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=23915 "Blue and Purple Boat" http://gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=23937 "Blue Marlins" http://gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=23938 "The Sun" http://gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=23920 I have taken stills of the entire installation both during the day and at night.
