The Isar provides the power supply for Munich, it is a recreation area for Munich, it invites for walks, hikes, inline skating, bicycle riding…There is always something to do along the Isar. The little islands and the pebble banks shift and change each year – but the Isar remains the same – the vital artery of Munich.
On the left side is the entrance to the Zoo "Tierpark Hellabrunn" where I made several other panoramas: http://www.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=21052 http://www.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=21410 http://www.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=20953 Panorama made of 398 pictures at focal length of 400mm. |

A splendid winter panoramic view from Wallberg, near Tegernsee, Bavaria, Germany.
The mount's elevation is 1722m only. But it is the last big mount at the edge of the Bavarian highlands and offers a splendid view into all directions. The image contains both, Großglockner and Zugspitze, aka Austria's and Germany's highest mountains. And you may spot parts of Munich as well. Taken with Pentax K20D and DA 40mm Ltd. (48 images). Tone mapping and sharpening applied. The original panorama had a contrast ratio of up to 14 EV. A more detailed subset of this panorama for the East Alps Main Chain is available here: http://share.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=15268 |

The popular ski resort near the idyllic Spitzingsee lake, around 70 km south of Munich offers wonderful winter sporting activities. The area has now been reinstated as one of the top 5 ski resorts in Germany. A modern artificial snow system and the exposed heights of 980–1,693 m above sea level mean that snow is guaranteed throughout the season. 23 km of slopes, 2 modern 4-seater chairlifts with protective covers, 1 gondola and 13 drag lifts ensure skiing pleasure for everyone. The fun park on the Unteren Firstalm is considered an eldorado by snowboarders, including pros, who use it as a training ground.
This is a 360° panorama at the Rosskopf pike, Spitzingsee, Bavarian Alps. 420 pictures at focal length of 120mm. The real resolution is >3GPixel but due to file size limitation I uploaded only 2GPixel As usual, best viewed with Google Earth or here http://www.360cities.net/image/spitzingsee-rosskopf-alpen-bayern |

St. Pauli Landungsbrücken (Landing Bridges) during the port port festival. I decided to take this gigapan early this day (despite the unfavorable direction of sunlight) because I needed a comparative calm scenery for the panorama shots. |

Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin, Germany
The Gendarmenmarkt is a square in Berlin, and the site of the Konzerthaus and the French and German Cathedrals. The centre of the Gendarmenmarkt is crowned by a statue of Germany's poet Friedrich Schiller. The square was created by Johann Arnold Nering at the end of the seventeenth century as the Linden-Markt and reconstructed by Georg Christian Ungerin 1773. The Gendarmenmarkt is named after the cuirassier regiment Gens d'Armes, which was deployed at this square until 1773. During World War II most of the buildings were badly damaged or destroyed. Today all the buildings are restored to their former state. (From Wikipedia article.) 70696x21574 pixels, 275 (25x11) images, Canon G9 @ 200 mm equiv., LR 2.3 RC1, GP Stitcher 0.4.3864. |
