Another golf hole at Garland Resort (Monarch #11) that will be one of four change-of-seasons panoramics. I had my exposure locked and halfway thru my series of pictures the sun came out, becoming much brighter, and completely washed out the right hand side. The three foot bridges close to the green are barely visible. Has anyone paused halfway thru a picture session and reset their exposure setting? I will set it on automatic exposure the next time. Taking a series of pictures where you want to capture some detail in the woods really overexposes the snow. Just another learning experience.
By the way, can you find the Bald Eagle's nest? |

This is a "time lapse snapshot" of a disc golf tournament in Huntington Beach, California. Disc golf is like regular golf, but uses frisbees instead of balls and clubs. The holes are metal baskets with chains designed to catch the discs. For more info, check out www.pdga.com.
For this panorama, I took shots of many different players driving, putting, and walking the course over a 2 hour period. Then I overlayed the action shots on the gigapan image, creating what I'm calling a "time lapse snapshot" of the final round (18 holes) of the open division at the tournament. |

Pano of the 2009 Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Saturday combined car show taken from a hilltop tee on the Schenley Park Golf Course, immediately following very short rain. After about 4 hours of great weather, empty parking spots are peppered amongst the cars. In view is the BMW Marque of the Year area, Porsche, Swedish, French, Japanese and "The Cortile" Italian area atop the opposite hill by the clubhouse. |

The construction of Bodrum Golf Club started in 2006 on 12,5 acres area. No trees were cut to keep the natural beauty. Bermuda type grass seeds were selected for our golf course for its need of less water consumption and durability against sun beam. |

Golkonda consists of four distinct forts with a 10 km long outer wall with 87 semi circular bastions; some still mounted with cannons, eight gateways, four drawbridges and number of royal apartments & halls, temples, mosques, magazines, stables etc, inside. The lowest of these is the outermost enclosure into which we enter by the "Fateh Darwaza" (Victory gate, so called after Aurangzeb’s triumphant army marched in through this gate) studded with giant iron spikes (to prevent elephants from battering them down) near the south-eastern corner. At Fateh Darwaza can be experienced the fantastic acoustic effects, characteristic of the engineering marvels at Golkonda. A hand clap at a certain point below the dome at the entrance reverberates and can be heard clearly at the 'Bala Hisar' pavilion, the highest point almost a kilometre away, this worked as a warning note to the royals in case of an attack |

Near Disney World. Messed this one up big time since I hadn't noticed that the ISO was all the way up at 1600 from an earlier experiment, therefore the hugely speckled appearance, plus the Aperture Priority threw off the exposure too much (wanted to compensate for shooting into the sun). Oh well. Still sort of turned out since you get the feel of the place. |
