This is the view from Mount Jan Jacinto after riding the Palm Springs Aerial Tram up the mountain. The tram is a rotating gondola which takes you 2.5 miles up the face of the mountain. http://www.pstramway.com/ (Key Grip: Ben Wills) BTW, there is a Peregine Falcon perched in one of the trees... can you find it? |

Taken from the start of a 10 minute gondola ride and finishes to the right at the top, each image was four seconds apart. The stitcher did an amazing job considering that the outside scenery was changing so rapidly. Kind of David Hockney like. I ran out of time to have the full 360 as I did not factor in the other time between shots beyond the 'Time Per Pic' and only made it 75% around before reaching the summit... The D200 performs great on the Gigapan mount, this was done with a 60mm lens with aperature shut down small. |

There is a gondola ride to the 12,000 ft peak of Monarch Crest. The view of the Rocky Mountains from inside the observation house shows many peaks that are near or over 14,000 ft. This day the wind was so strong that it was necessary to shoot this 360 degree panorama from inside. |
