This is a big gigapan I shot on Saturday evening. It's a huge Gigapan and took 16 hours to stitch. 47 images wide X 23 images tall totaling 1081 images.
I missed some of the balloons on the first pass so I backed the unit up and reshot a section. The lighter background in the sky was caused when I readjusted the exposure during shooting. The sun was setting fast and light was fading. EDS Credit Union Plano Balloon Festival - Plano, Texas - September 19 - 21, 2008 http://www.planoballoonfest.org/fest-facts.html Enjoy the "Lofty Visions" as 70 magnificent, colorful, hot air balloons fill the skies over Plano Friday at 6:00pm, Saturday at 7:00am and 6:00pm, and Sunday at 7:00am and 6:00pm (weather permitting). Fun for all ages, are the Special Shapes that attend the festival. This year, the special shapes include: High Jack, Miss Daisy, Pandy the Panda, Oggy the Dragon, and Woodrow C. Greenleaf. |

Camera: Canon G-10. Conditions: low-light, planned to take w/ISO 400 but went with 100, +2 compensation, manual focus Note: I'm don't know why the upper part of the image in blurry; I imagine I did something wrong with setting up intial focus; very grainy, as expected, but can detect some subtle detail still

An approximately 270 degree panorama from High Point, New Jersey. The view is from approximately east-southeast (left) to north-northeast (right). Three states are visible in this view: New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York. Lake Marcia is near the center of the image and Port Jervis, NY is near the right side of the image. The panorama was shot from the southwest corner of the base of the High Point monument. At the time of uploading, this is my largest GigaPan yet, and first to exceed 5 gigapixels. (Someday they'll fix the 360 degree stitching bug and I may have others this size to upload.) |

Right after ASU played, the Highland High School Marching Band from Gilbert AZ was awarded the 2009 State Championship. The team reacting to the announcement of their win: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRqCfBjBE98 TECH Hand shot, in low light with 1/4 to 1/6 sec exposures. Amazing that it turned out as well as it did. |
