The Oval Hall is inside the Palau Nacional, which, since 1929 and to the present day, has hosted and continues to play host to the celebration of many different events, such as the Festa Literaria de Santa Llucia?
This oval hall, measuring 1.600 m2, with a maximum capacity for 1.200 people, is an ideal venue for the opening and closing ceremonies of congresses and the holding of receptions of all kinds, plus cultural and business events. The Museum also has other areas available, suitable for the celebration of less heavily attended events, such as the vestibule. |

Soundstage B at the Dodge College at Chapman University. Of note are the many different kinds of lights hanging from the ceiling, all the various elements that make up a working film set on a soundstage. |

This is where we get away from it all! This si a 360 Panorama. I tried using a midrange zoom rather than full tele. I also used the "Mercator Projection" rather than the "spherical/equirectangular" setting. Interesting! (in a "Picture of the Bathroom" sort of way. |

Staphansdom from the inside. A tad dark, but captures the cathedral feeling nicely. Had to cut off fairly high because of the tourists. Normally you need a permit to use a tripod in Stephansdom, which I didn't have time to acquire, so the gigapan unit was placed on a prayer bench and ran from there. Not a few folks were interested... :-) Rendered perfectly. :-) As always, date is one month off from indicated camera time. |

This hand-held panorama faces the West Rose Window. Notre Dame was built on the site of a Roman Temple and took almost 170 years to build. That's about 8 and a half generations of perserverance, faith, and necessarily precise architectural planning. One of the bell towers is reachable by an endurance testing stairway and offers amazing views of the city from its roof-top gallery. Also, in front of the Cathedral is a brass plaque which marks "Kilometer Zero" from which all distances in France are traditionally measured. Standing on it and turning around three times is supposed to grant the person's wish. As there are identifiable faces in the photo, please be kind when making comments to accompany your snapshots. |
