The day after Halloween, most houses still have their decorations up. These people created a crowded graveyard. I wish I'd seen it at night!

Started at 7:54P and ending at 7:57P, we shot this panorama quickly so we could rush down to the main stage and get the panorama of the audience before Dave Matthews Band. Umphrey's McGee is on the Main Stage in this panorama.

On a mild summer day, a band plays a free concert in the bandshell as crowds mill around the park and sailboats glide across the lake. Life is good! See http://www.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=25707 for another view of the area. Canon G10 with Raynox DCR-1540 auxiliary lens. |

Downtown St. Paul from the Wabasha Street bridge on a frosty late afternoon. Robert Rydeen (rlrydeen) has a couple of other views of this area here:
http://gigapan.org/gigapans/37487/ http://gigapan.org/gigapans/37488/ This photo was a good test of the nickel-zinc batteries in my GigaPan, which are supposed to hold their power down to -20°F. They did fine but the GigaPan mechanism stiffened up and was unable to raise the lens on the last few rows. I had to pause and do it manually, which accounts for the uneven border on the right side. As usual, this was taken with a Canon G10 and a Raynox DCR-1540 1.54X auxilliary lens, giving an effective focal length of 219mm. 1.8 second GigaPan delay. |

Roz Stendahl painted a bird a day for thirty days. This is her exhibition at the Foiled Again hair salon. The poster at the far right gives the premise of the project and some of the methodology, along with a link to Roz's web site http://www.rozworks.com/. For a peek at her studio see:

The two-block-long Milwaukee Avenue Historic District in Minneapolis is unique to the area. Built 1884-1890, it contains tiny wood-frame houses on quarter-size lots and was intended for working-class immigrants. The neighborhood avoided demolition in 1970 and is now on the National Register of Historic Places.
