Looking west from the Sky Terrace above the Leprino Family Atrium at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. In the foreground is City Park. The Denver skyline is in the distance, and the Rocky Mountain Front Range is in the background. The peaks include Longs Peak to the north, Mt. Evans near the center, and Pikes Peak to the south. |

A 360 degree view of Salt Lake City shot from the Meterolorgy department building on the campus of the University of Utah. To see a live timelapse from this location go to http://www.timecam.tv
The silver stripe is the pole that our timelapse camera sits on. This image took 3.5 days for my computer to process and upload. I think missing images slow the gigapan stitcher down a lot. |

Wikipedia: Chęciny is a town in Kielce County, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, Poland, with 4,252 inhabitants (2006).
The town is first mentioned in historical documents from 1275. It obtained its city charter in 1325. The most important sight in the town is the royal castle built in the late 13th or early 14th century. It fell into ruin in the 18th century and remains in that state to this day. The town had a Jewish community and it had been the center of the Hasidic Chentshin dynasty, (Chęciny being pronounced as "Chentshin" in Yiddish.) The notable Haredi leader and scholar in Israel, Rabbi Aharon Leib Shteinman's family originated in Chentshin. View of the town from the castle tower at http://gigapan.org/gigapans/29295/ |

View of the Tetons from Oxbow Bend - the Snake River visible in the foreground, the Tetons in the far ground.
(There's a rather famous Ansel Adams photo that's taken from near this location. It's almost as if all photographers feel a subconscious urge to take a photo at this spot, I think...) |

Baboquivari Peak is a Jurassic granitoid and there are many related igneous dikes visible in this GigaPan. The peak is also sacred to the Tohono O?odham people.
The Kitt Peak Observatory is also visible on the horizon. |

A twilight shot from Crown Point on the NW edge of Denver Colorado. Its an amazing vista as the city all around disapears into the low parts of the valley and we only see the mesa's, foothils and mountains that suround the metro area. Unfortunately the Westiminster University building is partialy blocked by a cartifact* see GigaPan Westminster University Castle before twilight BW 02.07.09 http://share.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=16720 I'll definitely be back to this amazing spot. " cartifact: a piece of a passing car generaly located in the most important part of the pano. Note: This cartifact would have been avoided if I had been crouched over the camera oblivious to the freezing February wind. Instead I was inside my Jeep watching the robot work. The English Lake District on a beautiful winter's day. A view over Grasmere and Rydal Water in the English Lake District.
For those passer-bys inquiring about the Gigapan camera mount while I was taking an earlier panorama, the 360° panorama of Grasmere taken from near the lake has now had to be split into two due to a stitching problem (possibly caused by sun flare). The Grasmere panoramas are now being uploaded to this site. |

Bob Thompson Mountain at left, Miller Peak at center, and Carr Peak to the right.
This panorama is not far from the Mexican border. See if you can find evidence of the presence of the Border Partol. |

Viewed from the parking lot of Rustler's Rooste, next to the Arizona Grand Resort (formerly the Pointe Hilton), snow-capped mountains are off in the distance, the only sign that it is winter to the golfers on the resort course. Mountains visible are, from the left, Piestewa Peak, Camelback, McDowell Mountains, Red Mountain and the Superstition Mountains. Most of Tempe can be seen, including the ASU campus, Sun Devil Stadium, the new high-rise buildings along the 'lake' formed in the Salt River bed. First big pan done with my new SX110 IS and GigaPan Epic. |
