This was taken from a parking structure in the Perl district in Portland, Oregon. You can see the large freemont bridge in the background. I finished the panorama just before a train rolled by. There was significant rain and wind. I photographed the scene with an Epic 100 using a Nikon D90 DSLR at 105mm using ISO 200, f/8, exposure bracket +/- 1.33 EV with 5s, 2s, 13s with white balance set to 2600K. This stitch only uses the EV0 exposure bracket because I was too close to edge and small rain drops were deposited on the lens. The EV +1.33 shows the effect of the small drops of water in portions of the sky which are manifested as circular flare. I adjusted the white balance of the camera RAW files from 2600K to 2850K. There is mixed lighting with the monochromatic low pressure sodium lighting or something similar to it which yields different white balance depending on what lighting is illuminating a certian part of the subject. There is no visible sawtooth and I did not bend the camera plate. In the future I will photograph at a position that is behind any water on the ground so that the lens does not recieve drops of water which effect the brighter exposure brackets. |

The view from Mark and Tracy's place. The city lights seem to have caused a lot of vignetting when going from dark sky to bright lights. Punchbowl, with the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific inside the crater, is at the right of the gigapan, while Diamond Head is off the image to the left. |

This is the Paddock area of the 24h Le Mans Race 2009. I shot the images at 3 a.m. at night. It took about 90minutes due to using the self timer of the cam, a 2sec. exposure time and a 10 sec. Giga Pan delay to prevent the pictures from blurring. I don´t no why.. but in some pix is blurring..? But stitching worked fine! 200 Pix in total! |

Pay attention to the left side score pannel, displaying 3-0, while on the right side it shows a 3-2 score. During picture acquisition 2 goals were scored by Espanyol team. +info: http://www.bigpict.es |

This is another Panorama of the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station. This one was taken technically on the 29th, the day after my previous similar shot. Though just barely, this shot was taken at 1 am.
This photo is however, very different. The moon is in front of the station in this shot rather than behind it, which makes the station look completely different. My other shot makes the station look very dark (which it is to provide heating through absorption of the sun's rays), whereas this one is very light, and almost all white. During the winter, the blowing snow sticks to the station making everything turn white. During the summer season it will not be cold enough to stick, and the sun is there to heat the special black siding also keeping the snow away. I Intentionally left the moon split between the pano, because I liked the effect . Unlike my other Pano, this one I remembered to bring my headlamp and make sure everything on the camera was set correctly, and thus this shot is actually in focus! You can clearly see the station details. This was again taken in temps around -90F. I've had multiple 360 pano attempts fail because the camera's batteries froze before i got spun all the way around :{ This was shot with a Canon EOS-1D Mark II, 16mm, f-stop 2.8 and 30 second exposures |

A handheld 360 panorama of Osaka's Dotonburi district - with covered shopping arcades for as long as the eye can see! Feel free to explore the panorama - there are some 'ghost people' that make their way in. Taken with a D700. |

On a mountain bike trip through the Canyonlands National Park in Utah on the White Rim road, we spent one of three nights at 'Murphys' plateau. I had to pee in the middle of the full moon night and decided to take this long exposure (30 seconds each) night shot of the desert (thats why its soo grainy- its moonlit) |
