First shot i've taken that I feel was worth the extra time to photoshop and make perfect, including everything from the Mercedes Benz shoot to the cars stopped in traffic on the West Side Highway. Also what I think is the first shot taken at this resolution of the new Highline Park that's just opened. Definitely the most time i've ever spent working on a single picture...pretty good view from here. Printing as big as I can as well. enjoy! |

Mayor Bloomberg has closed sections of Broadway near Times Square, this is the smartest thing any Mayor of New York has ever done!!! Now there are chairs, tables and chairs, and just plain open space for people to wander around in, stop, sit down, and take in the surroundings. Before you were limited to a few feet of sidewalk, with cars, trucks & buses whizzing all around you. This view is of the East side of Times Square as seen from 46th Street. In the past this gigapan would have been impossible to take, because its from the middle of Broadway! The stitcher had some minor problems with all the movement at grade level, but overall I like the image. Search on “drh” for more Times Square gigapans (being posted in June 2009) |

looking out from my apartment over the rooftops of SoHo towards lower Manhattan. The twin towers would have been pretty much in the center of this picture, beyond the large buildings in the back. |
