Three LBJ Library panoramas can be see via this link: http://tinyurl.com/LBJ-Library This is a link to a mp3 file of LBJ talking to Gordon Bunshaft discussing putting a copy of the Oval Office in his future library: http://www.lbjlib.utexas.edu/johnson/archives.hom/Dictabelt.hom/highlights/janapril1968/bunshaftA2417-13/13533.mp3 All the Way With LBJ: This visit to the LBJ Library in Austin presented an overwhelming amount of memories from a much earlier time in the life of this Country and in my life too. I have a *number* of books about LBJ, and due to so many events that were shaping our Nation on a daily basis, that was the most exciting time of my young life. I am a big fan of Robert Caro's, who is *the* biographer of Lyndon Baines Johnson, and was hoping to see him on this visit to the LBJ Library. He was not there when I was, but hopefully, one day I will meet him. While I was there I took a few panoramas and I share this one with those that might have an interest in the most powerful President the United States has ever had and the most effective Senate majority leader in history. Love LBJ or dislike him, but all will should agree that he desired power, sought-out power, found power and used it effectively. This 10-photo panorama was taken hand-held using a Leica D-Lux 3 and stitched using the GigaPan Stitcher. The Palace of Fine Arts is located in the Marina district at the edge of the Presidio near the Golden Gate bridge in San Francisco, Ca For history of the structure http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palace_of_Fine_Arts The capture of this panorama covered a larger area with multiple exposure brackets. I will need to examine the file to determine if I am able to stitch the entire capture. |

A unparalleled beautiful view of Rochester is from the High Falls. This gagapan is a first in a series of views of downtown Rochester looking at the city from the High Falls bridge. For each season, a new gigapan will be taken showcasing this spectacular view of the city! This view represents a panoramic view of the Genesee River 96-foot waterfall and spectacular gorge and a visit to an urban cultural park that celebrates Rochester's earliest industrial area started during the Flour City era. Photographers Note - This picture was taken on January 10, 2010 the day after the temperature in Rochester dipped down to almost 0 degrees! This GigaPan consists of 645 individual pictures stiched together, creating a 658 megapixel panogramic, with each picture taken at a focal length of 200mm. |
