Can you see the name of the building peeking above this plate glass castle? On the left is a skating rink. More panoramas should be taken of this area. It was very cold this day, which seemed to make the digital camera stop working on some frames.
This was when I was a beginner and didn't understand how to set it up right! |

In the year 1802, two brothers named "Glassmere" (ancestors of Charles Glassmire - yours truly) came from Alsace and migrated to western Pennsylvania. They started the first glass factory in western PA that year and eventually established the town of Glassmere. It stood and grew until the 1940's and then merged with other municipalities. I am the last remaining descendent. |

GigaPan by Mary Hart (setup assistance by Sara Masters- saram). This is a meeting of Pittsburgh's Digital Imagers group (www.digitalimagers.org- come to a meeting if you are in the Pgh area!) I think the ghost in the background is Illah Nourbakhsh, who has come to talk to us about the CREATE Lab, GigaPans, and educational efforts. (Thanks, Illah- wonderful talk!) |
