San Gimignano is a famous hill town in Tuscany noted for its medieval towers erected by various families for their own security. Today it is one of the most visited sites in Tuscany and in the summer is often overcrowded with tourists. I was one of them in the summer of 2009. This image is taken from a hillside with a stupendous view of the city, perched on a hilltop for security, and the surrounding countryside which is equally interesting. This panorama was taken from the water reservoir in Pointe Pacific, located on northern Mount San Bruno in Daly City. It has a spectacular sweeping view of southern San Francisco, Downtown and the Bay Bridge. See if you can find the top of the Golden Gate Bridge towers! |

A dive bar in the Richmond District of San Francisco on Geary Blvd.
This was an experiment in shooting in close quarters with the autofocus on, which ended up turning out really cool. Well, except for the four frames that the camera didn't manage to shoot. 5346 Geary Blvd, San Francisco, CA 94121 |

The foothills of the Diablo Range overlook the Evergreen Valley area of San Jose, California. These hills will become brown in a few weeks, but for now they are covered in green grass and patches of yellow mustard. |
