Sadly I didn't take the Gigapan Imager beta to the Geneva Motor Show, so this is just a handheld panorama, aided by a very small Gorillapod, to give a flavour of what it's like on a busy last weekend of the show! There is a horizontal mismatch of the images due to my difficulty of being able to see and align key points in each horizontal strip of images while taking the panorama!
By the way - visit the show mid-week if you like to take photos without too many people in, or if you want to pick up a few souvenirs easily!! |

2009 Conejo Valley annual Gem and Mineral Show. This was done with a Canon S5 is and the Gigapan Epic 100. I set the ISO to 400 to keep the exposure resonalble, but this still resulted in a number of image blurs. This was taken from the balcony area overlooking what is normally a basketball court. |

camera Canon G9 at 50% zoom 18% FOV, It was diffecult to get this shot and it took me 4 go's to get this one as their where plenty of people about that kept walking in front of the camera. The day was very gray, so i shot in raw and then using lightroom I tweaked the images to show a little more contrast then exported to Jpeg and stiched. |

Each year up to 10,000 visiting aircraft - of all shapes, sizes and varieties - make Oshkosh the busiest airport in the world. This gigapan was shot Saturday morning. It only has a few bad spots in the stitching caused by people walking in front of the lens.
This shot includes: f-16 , falcon , f-15 , c5m galaxy , c-17 globemaster iii , c-130 , erickson sky crane , dc-3 named “duggy” , cv-2b caribou , p-51 mustang , a-10 thunderbolt , f4u corsair, e-2c hawkeye, ford tri-motor, b-17 flying fortress, pitts model 12, gulf stream to name a few. This was a fantastic event and had so many amazing aricraft new and old. I will be posting some videos from the event on youtube.com including the A380 taking off from Oshkosh 2009. SeaWorld Orlando is one of the eight world class theme parks in Central Florida. Of all the parks, this is one of my favorites for a fun relaxing day in a beautifully landscaped area with all sorts of neat sea animal exhibits and shows. It also features a couple adrenaline rides like the coaster Kraken and the Journey to Atlantis water ride. The free beer samples at the Annhauser-Busch Hospitality House doesn't hurt either. This particular shot is of the newly introduced Blue Horizons Dolphin show taken from midway up on the far left side of the theater. As I found out, it is challenging trying to make a tiled panorama of a show where there is so much movement and activity, although I was lucky enough to have at least one instance of the dolphin and trainer appear off to the right. The new limited Veyron Bleu Centenaire costs Euro 1.35 Million and is a one-off model celebrating Bugatti's 100th anniversary.
