226042x21693px image will make you surprised of the details and the hiden places that could be seen. This is I thing the widest view of the town Kocani where the alomost 70% of the town is visible.
This is the hand made panorama with predicted overlaping. I thought will never complite the result I got. Before last step corrections the pano was between 6-7Gpx, but in order to get the nice composition and quality it was cropped in Photoshop to 5Gpx. At the begining I almost reached the Photoshop limit of 300.000 px. Amazing experiance and result if you exclude the little visible mistakes. And the 30Gb file was uploading for ages. PANORAMA FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE TOWN COULD BE SEEN HERE: ПАНОРАМАТА ОД ДРУГАТА СТРАНА НА ГРАДОТ МОЖЕ ДА БИДЕ ВИДЕНА НА СЛЕДНИОВ ЛИНК: (http://gigapan.org/gigapans/30950) Green nature that sarrouns the town, "Brana Gragce" could be seen on folowing link: http://gigapan.org/gigapans/33685/ НА ПРЕТХОДНИОТ ЛИНК МОЖЕ ДА СЕ ВИДИ ИЗЛЕТНИЧКОТО МЕСТО "БРАНА ГРАТЧЕ". |

Panorama taken from the observation deck of the Foshay Tower. I had to clamp the GigaPan to a railing above my head, forcing me to level the panorama by eye. I didn't do too badly, considering. At the same spot in every column, the GigaPan would snap and give a lurch, causing me to flinch. I had visions of the whole thing tumbling 30 stories and killing someone. Canon G10 with Raynox DCR-1540 tele adapter, giving an effective 35mm focal length of 219mm. |

Finally got a decent stitch out of this using stitcher and manually fixing the skyline. Good enough for the internet, not really good enough to print...missing the fisherman's hand and some of the palm tress, which I could manufacture but would take a lot of time. Again shot in HDR but stitched through one exposure. Only kind of happy with it-- wish i'd gotten the fisherman's hand, obviously. Next time. |

My second gigapixel HDR image. Spent a lot of time photoshopping fast-moving details such as the cop car and a people so that very few HDR artifacts remain. Again a lot of work but really happy with the result. Enjoy! |

A view down Hennepin Avenue in downtown Minneapolis. Block E on the left is a major urban redevelopment project that turned a blighted city block into an entertainment complex. You'd have thought they'd have found a more exciting name for it. The Masonic temple was completed in 1890 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. It is now used as a teaching and performance space by the Hennepin Center for the Arts. The pano also shows the construction of the new Twins stadium and the historic Shubert Theater, which was moved to its present site -- all 2900 tons of it -- in 1999, one of the heaviest buildings ever moved http://science.howstuffworks.com/heaviest-building-moved1.htm. The photo was made with a Canon G10 and a Raynox DCR-1540 1.54X auxiliary lens, giving an effective 35mm focal length of 219mm. |

Skyline of St. Petersburg, Florida from overlook at Albert Whitted Airport. On the extreme left is the Mahaffey Theater, and on the extreme right is the St. Petersburg Pier. Docked at the pier is the HMS Bounty, used in many movies including the MGM original "Mutiny on the Bounty". |

Shot this pretty early morning to avoid the 12 PM storms we've been getting here this summer so far. Also going to get down a bit lower when taking the shot next time...the shoreline seems to have been pretty exaggerated. Still, ultimately pretty happy with it. |

As is evident here, Chicago’s skyline is growing. Shot from the area of Museum Campus near the Adler Planetarium, this view gives one a close look at some of the older architecture of Chicago and many of the new construction arising.

A complete 180+ degree view of my first gigapan, http://share.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=24376.
Technically the first gigapixel image i've ever taken. Got good sky detail by underexposing, a happy accident. Many less stitching errors than my first panorama, but I left them uncorrected this time...might fix them later. More to come! |
