You can find many stores like this in north of Iran. In this store everything can be found: honey, dolls, cookies, chess, etc. This is why I call it "everything-can-be-found" store :)
Note: The location I took this photo may vary a little with the location I geo-coded it, but still in the same area. |

Tavazo-e-Bustan Nut Store is located in Bustan shopping center near Punak Square. I was walking in Bustan shopping center that I found this beautiful store. At first I thought maybe it is not a good place for a panorama because of the little space and distance from the camera, but fortunately I decided to give it a try. I love the result.
You can find many different kinds of nuts in the photo, also many chocolates, even drinks such as Rani :) Related Gigapan: Pounak Sq. ( http://gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=14066 ) Somehow the same: Everything-can-be-found Store! ( http://gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=9577 ) |

Powell's books is a favorite book chain in Portland, Oregon. This store is located on the east side of the Willamete river in Portland, Oregon. I took this photo using a Canon G9, conversion lens adapter, and a Canon Tele-converter TC-DC58C 2x on a Gigapan beta robot. (35 mm film equivalent focal length of 400 mm ) It took 288 jpegs at ISO 400, f4.8. I stitched the resulting image using the Gigapan stitcher 4.3864. I wanted to repeat this panorama with focus on the closer objects and merge the two panoramas, but I would have interfered too much with the employees ability to get their job done. I will fuse focus from two series of photos with different focus on a subject later and I will post both the fused focus and single focus so that you may compare them. |

This is a photo of the inside of my late Grandpa Stubbs's jewelry store in Chaffee, MO. After Grandpa retired from being a jeweler, he kept the store and filled the display cases with various items he collected as well as many handicrafts that he and my Grandma Stubbs had created. I have always loved visiting Grandpa's store--you never know what interesting curiosities you might find.
Grandpa was an amazing person. He contracted polio as a boy, and his mother wrote to Eleanor Roosevelt for help. Mrs. Roosevelt arranged for then six-year-old Grandpa to receive treatment at Warm Springs, Georgia, the same place where President Roosevelt received treatment, for free. Grandpa worked very hard and was eventually able to walk with just one brace, instead of two, and a cane. After high school, Grandpa went to school to become jeweler, and he owned and operated this jewelry store for more than 50 years. After he retired, he filled the cases with things that he and Grandma collected and made at the 49 Elder Hostels they attended together. If you'd like to read a little more about my Grandpa Stubbs's life, his obituary is at: http://www.semissourian.com/story/1453457.html Now that Grandpa and Grandma have passed away, it's not entirely clear what will happen to the store. Probably everything will be taken down and our family will try to sell the property. I am very happy that I could take this GigaPan to preserve our family history. |

SeaWorld Orlando is one of the eight world class theme parks in Central Florida. Of all the parks, this is one of my favorites for a fun relaxing day in a beautifully landscaped area with all sorts of neat sea animal exhibits and shows. It also features a couple adrenaline rides like the coaster Kraken and the Journey to Atlantis water ride. The free beer samples at the Annhauser-Busch Hospitality House doesn't hurt either. This area is part of the recently renovated Sky Tower area. The Sky Tower goes up something like 50 stories and rises out of the building that is the closest in the foreground. Later on I will try to get a picture of it, but didn't have time on this visit. Across the water you can see the Atlantis Bayside Stadium while most prominent are the shops and restauraunts which make up the 'Waterfront at SeaWorld' area. |

A 180-degree view of Empire Music's (http://www.empiremusiconline.com/) acoustic guitar room.
This panorama was created from 315 photos (21x15). Many thanks to store owner Joe Ravita for allowing me to take this panorama. |

The fall foliage of late September and early October brings leaf peepers to the roads of New England. These curious folks, whether driving themselves along the winding roads of the Green Mountains or riding a tour bus through the Berkshires, are looking for colorful leaves and maybe some New England products for home. The orange sugar maples, yellow birches and maroon oak trees provided a very nice show in Weston Vermont today. This store had pumpkins and other interesting items for sale.
Although outlet stores have recently invaded the bucolic New England landscape, there are still plenty of roadside farm stands and little stores that sell local produce, crafts and antiques. Maple syrup and Vermont cheese are popular with tourists and local folks year-round. Hay bales and pumpkins are very popular this time of year. This particular store in Weston VT is still a local establishment, but it has grown considerably over the decades. With internet and catalog sales, they aren't really a local road-side store anymore, but they still maintain a New England theme. The store did such a nice job getting into the rustic Vermont-in the fall spirit with their old truck, pumpkins, hay bales and hammocks that I though a gigapan was needed to capture the scene. So here it is, complete with some leaf peepers. The 21 images of this panorama were photographed with a Nokon D80 and stitched with Autopano Pro. |
