Shot from the dikes at Afferden. The dikes were built to counter the high water of the river Waal which can be seen in the back. These areas will flood in case of high water. Lots of cumulus clouds in the sky. |

Inside the Tampa Aquarium there is a collection of over 20,000 aquatic plants and animals. This shot was taken inside the Wetlands area of the aquarium which is based on typical Florida wetlands from both the coastal as well as the inland areas. This shot was a challenge for me due to the high contrast lighting conditions, large number of reflective surfaces as well as the wide range of proximity to the camera of the subject matter. This was shot on aperture priority at F8 with the shutter speed set by the camera automatically which accounts for some of the tree tops being a bit darker. I like the way the sky came out through the glass ceiling though. |

This was taken from a small park just off Westlake Ave on a sunny Saturday afternoon.
It is 7 pics down and 39 pics across and due to the perfect timing of the sailboat and GigaPan, I ended up with no partial sailboat artifacts in the water. The boat was tacking just ahead of the GigaPan the whole time. O.K. All you GigaPan viewers out there. I have lived just north or just south of Seattle for 10 years, and I feel like there are things I should GigaPan, but can't think of any - other than the ones already done. Anyone know of a building, or location in/near Seattle they would like to see up here? |

A close-up shot of the creek in Big Cottonwood. This would have been 60images bigger but a couple pics were missing from the top two row and the gigapn stitcher couldn't figure it out so I just omitted the rows. |

This was supposed to be a 360, but the stitcher software gave me no end of troubles, look for the South part that matches up with this half. The historic fort is a popular attraction in St. Augustine, Florida, the oldest city i the U.S. dating back to 1565. The old fort was controlled by Spanish, British and American forces over the years. |

Chicago’s Historic Water Tower, made of Joliet Limestone blocks quarried in Illinois, was built in 1869 and used to control water surges in the area. It is best known for being one of the few buildings to survive the Great Chicago Fire of 1871 and has become a symbol of Chicago and a memorial to the victims of the Great Chicago Fire.

South Bank London, 144 images, Nikon D90 200mm VR, Hand Held. I almost gave up on this one, tried to stitch it on two different machines, one mac os and one vista never could stitch it correctly, tried again for humor after upgrading the macbook to 4Gb ram and although not perfect the stitching became acceptable. Not sure why but maybe the stitching software Autopano creates more control points the morel ram you have. |
