As you approach you can see both the upper and lower falls. As you get closer you can only see the lower falls. At this time of year (late fall) there is little water coming over the falls and it allowed people to play on the rocks below. Canon S5IS Gigapan Epic 100 |

America's Privateer, the 'Lynx' and California's State tall ship, the 'Californian'. At anchor, King Harbor Marina, Redondo Beach on Oct. 16, 2009. 108 images, GigaPan Panorama, Nikon P5100. Linx was training vessel for crew in the movie 'Pirates of the Carribean'. Pelicans on breakwall rocks and various other boats docked at marina. I had to return a second time to capture this image, the first time too much water motion moved the ships during exposures and made extreme separations in the riggings ropes and the hulls, this one worked out pretty good. ©John Post |
