In June 2009 a surprise exhibition of art by Banksy, the Bristolian graffiti artist, was opened at the Bristol City Museum. The amazing popularity of the exhibition took the museum by surprise as nearly 400,000 people queued for up to 5 hours to see the free show which closed on 31st August.
The tower is the Wills Memorial tower of Bristol University. Built after the first world war in gothic style it is probably the biggest clock in the world without a clockface. You only know the time if you hear the bell, Great George, striking the hour!! See my view from the top

It was built between 1220 and 1228
The Cathedral has the tallest spire in England at 414ft high and the Cathedral contains the world's oldest working clock built 1386.

A beautiful evening at the 2009 Bristol balloon fiesta saw over 90 balloons launched from Ashton Park. Great to see the piper flying again after many years. Spot the UP balloon with it's house underneath too. The tower is the camera obscura, the first panoramic viewer where you view the image projected through the periscope on a white dished horizontal table.
