Civil Engineer working on site, mainly building roads, sewers and industrial units.
Spend my spare time computing, building lego, flying kites and looking after my ants.

While on holiday in Benodet, France I tried to capture the sunset one evening.
This is the view from the waterfront from where boat trips are scheduled. You can see the open sea in the centre right of the image with Sainte-Marine is on the far side of the estuary.
The GigaPan robotic mount did attract a fair bit of interest, though most people just stared as they wandered past.
You can find me sitting on the bench in the left of the image.

My family and I enjoying a BBQ while on holiday in Benodet, France.
My Aunt & Uncle are enjoying semi-retirement as reps for http://www.benodetbreaks.com .
I say semi-retirement but they both work hard to give each arriving group a warm welcome and maintain the luxurious holiday homes to a high standard.
A good time was had by all and as you can see the weather was glorious.

This panorama was taken immediately following http://gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=22203 The sudden appearance of heavy cloud during this panorama has caused some bad exposure, however I have left it original due to some interesting relationships between the clouds and their shadows.
The National Memorial Arboretum is located in the National Forest in the heart of Staffordshire. Formally a gravel and sand quarry, converted in 1997, the NMA comprises of over 150 memorials of national significance.
The NMA's centre piece is the Armed Forces Memorial, dedicated in the presence of Her Majesty the Queen in October 2007. The AFM carries the names of all those serving their country who have paid the ultimate price since the end of the Second World War.
The NMA also hosts events and educational days throughout the year, for full details visit their website, http://www.thenma.org.uk/

This is the largest Star Wars model produced by Lego with over 5000 pieces. Styled on Han Solo's infamous smuggling starship, this is the Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falcon. The Corellian Enginering Corporation YT-130 freighter is recreated in every detail.
The model stands at 33 inches (84cms) long, 22 inches (56cms) wide and 8 inches (21cms) tall.
This model took me over 21 hours to build and it was worth every minute.
Apologies for the over exposure on the right hand side.

The Armed Forces Memorial was dedicated in the presence of Her Majesty the Queen on 12 October 2007. The momument contains the names of all those who have served their country and paid the ultimate price for their commitment since the Second World War.
It was designed by Liam O'Conner and consists of an earthen mound, 100 metres diameter at it's base reducing to 50 metres wide at the top. The 43 metres diametre curved walls and the 2 internal straight walls carry the names of those who the memorial is dedicated to.
The break in the wall on the right of this panorama allows the Sun's light to strike the centre wreath on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of the year.
You can read more about the Armed Forces Memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum on their website - http://www.thenma.org.uk

A quick pano taken while at work, shortly after lunch, of my current contract in Mansfield. We, McPhillips [ http://www.mcphillips.co.uk/ ], are constructing the infrastructure and foundations for a new healthcare facility for BAM Construction [ http://www.bam.co.uk ].
The contract started back in March and has been running for approximately 4 weeks. So far we have dug all the foundations for all 3 blocks and mass poured the reinforced concrete footings for each. 2 of the 3 block have had the sub-structure blockwork built and 1 has had the majority of the internal drainage pipes laid. 2 of the block have also had the lift pits dug ready for construction starting next week.

Uploaded for a second time due to display issues on the site, I may have uploaded this as the system was being reactivated.
A slightly cropped 360 degree pano of the ruins of Coventry's old Cathedral.
I had hoped to be finished before the Sun appeared around the column but 390 images took a little long and just caught a blast of sunlight as the Imager circled round.
Due to the issues of stitching a 360 degree pano with the GigaPan software I've removed the last two columns of images to make it a 340 degree pano.

A view from Oliver's Mount of Scarborough, towards the harbour and castle.
Testing out my lovely new Manfrotto Modo 785B I was greatfully bought for Christmas.
Slightly rushed due to the cold wind and impending rain.
