"Greetings! I can't remember the precise moment that I attained Super Awesomeness, but I think it started around age two when I first picked up a crayon. I always drew figures in some sort of situation, like swimming with fish, flying in UFO's, or falling down a trap door into a spike-filled pit. In third grade, my family got our first computer. It was great; a 286 PC with a 60mb hard-drive. I became skilled at using the computers sophisticated design software: MS Paint. By fifth grade my school had a whole hour of Art class, every Friday. This was always the best part of the week, because afterwards we got to go home for the weekend.
I moved from my home state of Oklahoma to Arkansas after sixth grade. Shortly thereafter I started my "awkward stage" and lost my Super Awesomeness. By 11th grade I started to regain my Super Awesomeness. I was part of a groovy rock band, got back into creating visual art, and got a girlfriend that happened to be the valedictorian of our school. Things were looking up for me. Then, in a series of bad events, the band broke up, I lost my girlfriend, and I realized that I had no interest in furthering my education. All of a sudden, things were looking down for me.
After taking a vacation in Mexico, I returned to the United States to find my friends hanging out with some new girls. Fast forward one year: I am now living with my friends, my girlfriend is basically living with us as well, and I have been working at Wild Oats making sandwiches 40 hours a week. Although I did enjoy slicing and dicing fresh avocados and tomatoes every day, I knew I needed more.
I was introduced to the idea of massage therapy as a side job by a friend of a friend. I was still on the lazy side of life; luckily for me I had a girlfriend who realized the positive aspects of my education in such a field. She filled out my application and turned it in herself. I was accepted, and six months and over a hundred massages later, I earned my Certified Massage Therapy License. Shoulders hurt? I can fix that. Though this kind of school would not go on my college transcript, it was the introduction to a form of higher education that I needed to get myself motivated.
Shortly thereafter, I was accepted to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. I got on the right track early by taking basics that helped me realize it was fairly easy to make good grades and actually enjoy most subjects. After thinking briefly about getting into Psychology and realizing the negative impact it would have on my Super Awesomeness level, I chose the Graphic Design minor the college offered. Though I had already introduced myself to Photoshop years earlier, through my college classes I became more accurate and knowledgeable. But this minor would not satiate my insatiable appetite for design.
The biggest change in my life occurred over the course of the next year. I was accepted into the Digital Media Animation and Design program at Northern Oklahoma College, a program with only 20 students accepted each year. I became proficient in using Maya and After Effects, as well as other Adobe programs. The tools I learned to use allowed me to make an impressive portfolio, which I submitted to Savannah College of Art and Design along with my application. I guess they saw the Super Awesomeness, because they not only accepted me but awarded me a very helpful scholarship.
The day finally came where I was to unveil to the world (the rest of my class) my very first real motion graphic project. After a harsh critique from Professor Duff and viewing the rest of the class' projects, I realized that what I had produced was just average, or maybe even a bit below. This was the firm, but entirely necessary kick to the arse that was needed to make me start trying as hard as I possibly could to create quality work. From that time on, almost every new project was my best work to date.
Sorry, I seem to have gotten off topic. The question was how to be Super Awesome like Jason Simpson. I would have to say, be honest as much as safely possible, observe and absorb everything around you, and enjoy your time when you have it.

This is my dads airplane room. He has 5 planes, all that work (most of the time). The TV does not have a remote... Also this image had to be scaled down so I could save it as a JPG format. I kept trying RAW and TIF file formats, but they came up corrupted. Any help from anyone???

This is my first mosaic tile image. I used MacOSaiX for the Mac. I'm very impressed by what this program can do (when it's not crashing...). I let this one run for the better part of a day with a selection of over 20,000 images. It's me, by the way.
