From the tower at the Chanel Islands National Park. This was taken on Memorial Day 2009 as part of a set from the tower. Lots of activity on the water resulted in lots of things getting cut off. Taken using Gigapan Epic 100 and Canon S5 IS |

On Tuesday morning, December 29, 2008 Virginia Gunderson drove me and my Gigapan up South Mountain onto property her great grandfather homesteaded in the 1860s. The view of Santa Paula is from about the same elevation as the pano I took of South Mountain a month or so earlier. The Santa Clara River is in the center with the Santa Paula Airport next to it. |

The historic Mill building in Santa Paula was built in 1888. It is being renovated to become the Farm Museum of the Museum of Ventura County. The lift moved from left to right and up and down while the 100 individual photos were being taken over the 25 minutes the robot worked. |

The Mill was built in 1888. It is along the railroad line. It is being rehabilitated and will eventually become the Farm Museum under the direction of the Museum of Ventura County. |

The restoration of the Mill moves on. |

The roof of the historic Mill being removed. It always leaked. I had a used book store in the SW corner for a couple of years and made extensive use of tarps. |

The view is from Hospital Hill in Santa Paula. I have two historic photos from 1888 and 1938 taken from the same hill. I'll be taking more of the city off to the right side (west) when the light is better. This shot contains 60 photos taken with my Canon G9. I was trying for 100 but I think my card and camera combination did not write fast enough and I stopped getting data to the card after 62. I'll adjust the Gigapan to wait longer between shots. |

The Mill is being renovated. I try to take a Gigapan at least once a month during the construction |
