This 1935 Great Organ and it’s 8,000 pipes were recently restored and shipped back to Pittsburgh. Each pipe has varying lengths, ranging from sixteen feet to three-fourths of an inch. The Great Organ has thirty-two stops, that make up four different organ tones. These include the diapason, flute, string and reed.

The excellent craftsmanship is exemplified here. The unique detail of the Lord’s Last Supper was carved from a single 22-ton block of marble. It weights approximately 14 tons.

The doors in the church are made of English oak and Siamese teak, and can weigh as much as four tons. Like all of the doors leading into the Sanctuary, they are made out of English Oak. The doors are replicas found at Cambridge University, England.
