I worked up here on the 49th floor for 5 years. The view was spectacular. Especially in the predawn darkness of the morning hours when the fog hadn't burned off yet. The 49th floor windows were above the fogline, and the city looked like it was submerged in an ocean of clouds. Only the tallest buildings rose above, and in the darkness their lights made them look like alien ships floating in the mist. Very surreal. It was a time when I was very happy to show up early for work!
