For me this is the "original gigapan". It has all the right elements: large and zoomable, lots of interesting details, and it depicts culture that I am unlikely to witness first-hand. I can say without exaggeration that this pano is wholly responsible for my interest in gigapanography and the aims of the Global Connection Project. Thank you Laura. Posted by Kilgore661 |

Here's a similar view in Google Streetview, but lacks the advantage of altitude: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=&ie=UTF8&ll=40.450716,-79.984556&spn=0,359.997599&z=19&layer=c&cbll=40.450716,-79.984556&panoid=e-ycgJp3VwIN5LTcCzj4TA&cbp=12,284.93,,0,6.81 Posted by paulheckbert |
