360 degree pano South Pole with Constellations

By:Jeremy Johnson (spinecrawler) on August 23, 2009

This is the same as my other pano with the exception that the good South Pole doc (grannydoc) went to the trouble of drawing in each of the constellations that are visible in the sky. You can see the same pano without the stars drawn in at my other pano:

This panorama of the South Pole sky on the afternoon of July 28 is a reference for any of you who want to know what they are seeing in the sky of spinecrawler's " South Pole 360 degree Pano". The sky in both images goes up to about 45 degrees above the horizon, and spinecrawler captured beautifully an accurate, full circle view of the stars and the South Polar landscape in winter.
