Hi Superpants, Love the user id :-) Yes, something like that is possible, but I have been too busy taking panos to investigate ways of displaying them other than using gigapan.org. I've had a look at zoomify but it didn't work first time out of the box so I shelved that project until such time as I can find a book.web site called "Zoomify, QTVR and Flash VR for People Who Don't RTFM". If you like this image, be sure to check out the Quire of Wells and The View From Below. Posted by Kilgore661 |

Kilgore661, the more I look at this GigaPan of yours, the more I am drawn into English History. FYI: There is a large amount of historical information on the internet concerning Wells Cathedral, which is good since for the typical traveller to England, Wells is the only Cathedral city not served by the train. The times I have been there have been very enjoyable, except for the bus ride from Bath to Wells... interesting people are always on the bus, but stopping every other block can get old. Also, there are a number of interesting stories concerning this Cathedral and the English Civil War and a good place to start is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wells_Cathedral and other sites found by using Google Search. Thanks for making the GigaPan of Wells ... it brings back a number of good memories. Posted by Texas_Photo |
